Microbial Carbon Dioxide Mineralization (MCM) Methodology
Developed in partnership with Gold Standard, this methodology represents a significant milestone for the soil carbon dioxide removal (CDR) industry. It establishes the first rigorous framework for quantifying durable CDR via microbial CO₂ mineralization in agricultural soils.
You can access the methodology from the Gold Standard for the Global Goals (GS4GG) website here.

Microbial Carbon Dioxide Mineralization (MCM) Methodology
Status: Valid for historic vintages.
Prior to our partnership with Gold Standard, Andes’ methodology was independently validated by Earthood to the ISO 14064 standard. This legacy framework provided the initial validation for our Microbial Carbon Dioxide Mineralization (MCM) technology and laid the groundwork for the industry-leading standards we adhere to today.
